Abstract: The author brieflly reviews the history of pharmacy in 19th century California and then describes the new museum opened by the California Pharmacists Association in its Sacramento headquarters. The museum’s objective is to exhibit the progress of the professional aspects of pharmacy as practiced in the community during a number of different periods (late 19th century, 1900 – 1960 and present). Rooms represent only the prescription areas, thus emphasizing the professional aspects of the craft. Information is provided regarding location, phone, admission fee and hours.
