Abstract: Compounding pharmacists should consider technology that would improve the safety and effectiveness of patients’ compounded preparations. Selecting and appropriately implementing technology that also is relatively inexpensive, practical, improves workflow, and stays within the comfort range of employees makes such selections worthwhile. This article discusses the various types of digital pens and their use within a compounding pharmacy.
