Abstract: Previous articles published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding have discussed the business side of providing home infusion services. Another important consideration for pharmacists before deciding to provide home infusion services, is their knowledge of parenteral products and therapies. This article will review the vascular access devices currently available and the most common therapies.
