Abstract: Compounding pharmacists can determine the value of their services in different ways. The author mentions relevant factors and discusses different strategies for pricing, including value pricing (the strategy most applicable to compounding pharmacy) and determination of the price that the market will bear. The author concludes that, although there are no easy answers to finding the right approach to pricing for services, developing a basic strategy can make this process considerably easier. Prices should reflect one’s confidence and competence in compounding.
