Abstract: This article discusses the factors that influence drug concentration in animals, including absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion. Tables provide information regarding body composition of various animals, including humans; half-lives in hours of selected drugs in animals; drug dosage variations of different animals for two different drugs administered by the intramuscular and intravenous routes and pharmacokinetic parameters of diazepam in the human, dog and rat.
