Abstract
The authors focus on bioidentical estrogen, oral natural progesterone, the benefits of hormone replacement therapy for menopausal women, monitoring the effects of hormone replacement therapy and synthetic hormones. Tables provide information regarding the roles of progesterone and side effects of conventional unopposed conjugated estrogen replacement. A figure shows the metabolic steroid cascade for estrogens and progesterone.
