Abstract
This presents the <1161> “Pharmacy Compounding Practices” monograph published in the United States Pharmacopeia XXIII/National Formulary 28 and summarizes its meaning in terms of the responsibility of the pharmacist to select the “most appropriate” quality of chemical for compounding. A table provides a description of chemical grades.
