The first concerns a formula for Coal Tar Ointment USP and shows how to calculate the cost of preparing 1 lb of the ointment. The second shows how to calculate the amount of money you would save a customer by providing a 10-mg capsule of Altace for once-a-day administration compared to providing a 5-mg capsule for twice-daily administration. The third shows how to calculate the number of prescriptions one would need to dispense to break even if a pharmacy is open for business an average of 5.5 days per week.
