Abstract: A literature search of the National Library of Medicine, via Grateful Med on August 8, 1998, using the key words environmental sensitivities for the years 1995 to 1998 turned up 49 articles. This summary then categorizes these by specialty and discusses multiple chemical sensitivities and hypotheses as to the possible explanation for this disorder. Articles dealing with biomarker research are discussed, along with miscellaneous studies. Two consumer groups were identified.
