Abstract: The author, affiliated with Analytical Research Laboratories in Oklahoma City, OK, differentiates between quality control and quality assurance and suggests that a combined approach is a powerful marketing tool for compounding pharmacists. He concludes that both quality control and quality assurance are necessary to build the success of a compounding pharmacy and to ensure that the highest-quality products are made available to patients.
