Abstract: As the fastest-growing market segment for prescribed medications, seniors merit special consideration. This article discusses common problems for this patient group (dosage forms, packaging/labeling, drug identification and dosing). A list of problems/considerations, adapted from Salom IL, Davis K (Geriatrics 1995;50:37-44), accompanies the article.
