Abstract: The purpose of this procedure is to provide a method of documenting basic physical quality-assessment tests of and observations on liquid-filled, semisolid-filled, solid-filled, alter-release and coated hard-gelatin capsules. A Physical Quality Assessment Worksheet for Powder-Filled, Hard-Gelatin Capsules, suitable for photocopying and using in the pharmacy, is also provided.
