Abstract

The United States Pharmacopeial Convention is actively involved in providing comprehensive information for compounded veterinary formulations and their clinical use. Several United States Pharmacopeia Expert Committees are working to develop information establishing the safety and effi cacy of necessary formulations, drug substance monographs for each active pharmaceutical ingredient, and compounding formulation monographs for each dosage form required.
