Abstract:  This discussion, by a commander of the Warren County Drug Task Force in Lebanon, OH, and the vice president of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators, covers the most frequently abused pharmaceuticals in the United States and avenues of health-care fraud. The author concludes that reducing prescription drug abuse is the responsibility of the physician, pharmacist and law enforcement officials and that these professionals must cooperate to identify and eliminate such addiction.
