Abstract

It has been said that we have two types of relationships with knowledge (information); (1) we either know it, or (2) we know where to find it. In today’s world, with the explosion of information in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical compounding, it is impossible to “know it all.” We must, however, build up a minimum knowledge base to practice efficiently and safely, and to compound quality preparations. For all other information, pharmacists must know where to find it, how to evaluate it for accuracy, and how to use it appropriately.
