Abstract

Information contained in published standards and/or guidelines must be reviewed and revised as required. Those practitioners affected by published standards and/or guidelines should understand and be involved in the review and revision procedures. The United States Pharmacopeial Convention, Inc.., whose standards are set forth in the United States Pharmacopeia 30–National Formulary 25, the most recent version of this publication, and in its publication titled USP Pharmacists’ Pharmacopeia, is an example of a standard-setting body that encourages and welcomes the participation of compounding pharmacists in the review and revision process.
