Abstract:  In this article, the author, past president of the American College of Apothecaries, current chair of the Academy of Pharmacy Practice Management Section of Nontraditional Practice for the American Pharmaceutical Association, and a director of the Texas Pharmacists Association, discusses regulatory issues. He defines compounding and gray areas, and describes court actions, legislative action, the continuing debate and the hope for legislative relief.
