Abstract:  Despite the importance of pharmaceutical compounding in pharmacy education, this subject has been disregarded by universities worldwide. A survey questionnaire was developed to determine the perceptions and expectations of pharmaceutical compounding by U.S. pharmacy students. Compounding was considered the future of pharmacy practice by the majority of the students, who stated that they would likely pursue a professional career in pharmaceutical compounding.
