Abstract

Radiopharmaceuticals are unique drugs, as they are primarily employed to aid in the diagnosis of a disease and to monitor the outcome of drug therapy or some other approach to the management of a disease. The author discusses the most common radioactive nuclides and describes the activities and setting of a nuclear pharmacist.
