Abstract:  The force that shapes pharmacy is the individual efforts and cooperation of those who work together for the good of the profession by securing and expanding pharmacy’s role in health care. Pharmacy as it is today is a result of the efforts of those individuals and organizations now and in the past. But what about the future of pharmacy? Will pharmacy have a role in health care in a future in which biotechnology and nanotechnology will markedly change the way disease is treated? That depends on the pharmacists of today.
