Abstract:  Women in Balance (WIB) was formed by a group of leaders from the medical, professional, and allied health fields to address the challenge of changing the national dialogue about women's health and to work together in a coalition to advance research and education and to protect and maintain access to natural hormone balance and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). WIB was formed in the aftermath of the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) trial, as a response to misinformation about hormone therapy and to distinguish BHRT from other hormonal therapies.
