Abstract: The qualitative study described in this article includes excerpts from the thesis of NaRisa Y. Holt-Waldo, MSN, RN. Research on the lived experience of women undergoing treatment with bioidentical human hormone replacement therapy for the relief of perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms was conducted in the College of Nursing at the University of Texas at Tyler, Texas. Implications of the study results for the fields of nursing and pharmacy are also presented.
