Abstract

This article presents the findings of a cost-analysis trial to determine the effectiveness of hydroxyprogesterone caproate in extending the duration of gestation for women who are at risk for preterm delivery. This cost-analysis trial also provides estimates of the money saved by the Alabama Medicaid program as a result of patients being treated with hydroxyprogesterone caproate.
