Abstract: Barrier isolation technology is a system of aseptic compounding. This Spotlight previews three brands of barrier isolators: (1) the Microsphere System (IsoTech Design, Inc., Montreal Quebec, Canada), (2) the Mobile Isolation Chamber (MIC Series, Containment Technologies Group, Inc., Indianapolis, IN) and (3) the Laminar Flow Glovebox Isolator (Germfree Laboratories, Miami, FL). Special features are highlighted, and contact information is provided.
