Abstract: The calculations for three problems are provided. The first deals with a formula for a wart remover mixture and shows the reader how to calculate the quantity of each ingredient needed to prepare 30 g of the mixture; the quantity of grams of camphor and castor oil contained in 30 g of the mixture; the quantity of milliliters of castor oil contained in 30 g of the mixture; and the percent weight-in-volume strengths of lactic, salicylic and trichloroacetic acid in the mixture. The second involves a formula requiring 25 mg of drug for a preparation being prepared with a balance with a specified sensitivity. The reader is shown how to weigh the quantity with an accuracy of 5% when starch is being used as a diluent. The third problem involves calculating the dose of sargramostim for a certain-size patient and also the infusion rate required to deliver the dose in a specified time period with a specific final concentration,
