Abstract:  Myasthenia gravis is a neuromuscular disease commonly encountered in veterinary medicine. With accurate diagnosis, treatment, and compliant caregivers, the prognosis for remission and a normal life is good. Unfortunately, drugs used to diagnose and treat myasthenia gravis are frequently unavailable due to manufacturer shortages. During these periods, compounding pharmacists can play a valuable role in maintaining a good quality of life for these patients by providing compounded versions of drugs that are commercially unavailable.
