Abstract:  The International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists Foundation held a student essay contest in the Spring of 2018. Two great submissions were chosen to receive an award. This article features one of the chosen essays, which discusses some of the challenges that compounding pharmacies face in the competitive profession of pharmacy.
