Abstract:  The author, who was previously affiliated with the Pharmacy Department of The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque, Isle, ME, provides a formulation for Hydrocortisone 10% in Clear Image Gel, which the physical therapists at his institution usually prescribed for phonophoretic procedures. He details difficulties his group experienced with commercial pharmaceutical bases before discovery of a new gel, Clear Image (Sonotech, Bellingham, WA) and provides information about their experience (preparation time for this formulation is approximated at about 10 minutes).
