Abstract

This article profiles some compounding-only pharmacies and a multiple compounding practice, including the pharmacists’ philosophies, successes and lessons learned. Subjects of the compounding-only practices are Scott Wepfer, RPh, The Compounding Shoppe, Birmingham, AL, and Jeanne Horner, RPh, The Remedy Shoppe, Inc., Houston, TX. For the multiple compounding stores, Bill Swail, RPh, and Peoples Pharmacy, Austin, TX, are profiled. Franchises are also briefly discussed, and ten tips for success are provided.
