Abstract:  This article by a marketing representative for a group of six compounding pharmacies in the Midwest provides tips for pharmacists wishing to enhance their marketing programs. The author discusses ways to market compounds for nursing mothers (start and maintain working relationships with prescribers, nurses, midwives and lactation specialists; speak to parents at birthing classes; join women’s groups and speak at public meetings), and treating pets (use humor, document success stories as case reports for vets and go where veterinarian sales and marketing people congregate).
