Abstract:  Two compounding pharmacists critiqued current versions of five compounding software programs, comparing and contrasting each in terms of ease of use and efficiency. Reviewers responded to specific questions and completed a questionnaire. This article presents a summary of their evaluation, accompanied by comments by actual users of each program. The programs reviewed were Compound Assist, The Compounder, Rx Formulator, Prescription Processing System and CompoundIt. A chart shows the ratings for all programs.
