Abstract

Poloxamers are nonionic block copolymers used primarily in pharmaceutical formulations. In this article, the author discusses nomenclature, description, use in formulations and stability and storage. Tables provide information regarding nomenclature and chemistry and physicochemical characteristics of the poloxamers.
