Abstract: This article reviews the personal experiences of a compounding pharmacist while on a mission trip to Port au Prince, Haiti. The author’s purpose of this article is to provide one of the many examples of how the time, talents, and resources of compounding pharmacists and compounding pharmacies can change not only the lives of others but can be a wake-up call for those pharmacists who have become complacent in their profession. The article also provides tips on dealing with some of the challenges a compounding pharmacist may face when working in the mission field.
