Abstract: The compounding pharmacist’s problem-solving ability is a perfect match for the many medication problems faced by the chronic pain patient. In this article, the author discusses solutions to common problems, including acetaminophen toxicity, frequent dosing intervals, intolerable side effects and the need for preservative-free medications.
