Abstract: For a hospice patient, much of his or her time may be spent indoors without the opportunity to enjoy sensory stimulation. The sense of smell, especially, can evoke many intense and pleasurable feelings of emotion and contentment. A list of selected oils and the feelings and emotions they may evoke is included, along with two formulas (Aromatherapy Mood Elevation No. 1 and Aromatherapy Mood Elevation No. 2).
